Work Wardrobe

Hi everyone!! I actually attempted to do this post as a vlog, however I think I am not ready for vlogging just yet! So I am going to stick to my blog posts! If you left me a comment in the past I haven't seen them because blogger was being very annoying and wasn't letting people comment.

I have recently bagged a lovely internship in a skin care boutique in Chelsea (YAY ME). For all of you who don't know Chelsea, it's known to be a high class area, so I need to look the part (or at least try). I know you all must be sick of hearing about my sister who has taken my whole wardrobe, but I have to mention it once more. Due to everything in my wardrobe being stolen, I have been left with one jumper which is now losing its colour (making it look like I never wash it - trampish behavour) and two dresses I had purchased from Thailand one year ago. I was actually out in Thailand for a summer school program, studying Marketing Communications in their most prestige University in Bangkok. While I was out there I got to go SHOPPING (of course) and I got these two cute dresses, which do not fit into current trends unfortunately - SO, sadly when I went shopping with my boyfriend (our FAVOURITE thing to do) I was REALLY embarrassed *hang my head in shame*.

I got some great clothes for my internship which I wanted to share with you all, so here goes - everything which I bought for my work wardrobe!

Firstly this adorable 'cable pom pom hat' - OK so it's not REALLY for work it's more for the coming cold which is already beginning to take over London. I have always wanted a hat like this and this was just perfect, it's good for keeping my ears warm too, so thumbs up from me!

Brand: Topshop
Price: £14.00

These trousers were a perfect fit for me! Because I'm quite curvaceous and short I always find it difficult to find the right trousers - but Zara had all the right stuff. Usually I don't shop it Zara because I always find it out of my price range but on this occasion they seem to have the best garments for work. Also, because Winter is now here I think I would feel a lot more comfortable and warmer in trousers at work rather than a dress. I love the checked design and the colours - it's black and grey so I can match it up with a wide range of colours.

Brand: ZARA
Price: £29.99

These trousers are the same type as the one above, but the design on the material is different. You can't see from this picture but I would say it has a stoney or marble design. They are just perfect for work and again can be matched up with loads of different colours.

Brand: ZARA
Price: £29.99

If you read one of my earlier posts, you'll probably know I was on the look out for a good coat. Although I was obsessed with the Burberry coat from their latest collection, unfortunately I couldn't find anything similar to it. This is a beautiful trench coat, again from Zara. I have always wanted a trench coat because I feel it always compliments your body and outlines your curves (which I definitely have). The colour I chose is a beige/off white colour, it's comfortable to wear and is actually warm.

Brand: ZARA
Price: £69.99

This is a CUTE shirt I got from Forever 21. I have become a little too obsessed with browns and tea colours which had lead me to pick up a lot of shirts this colour. However this was the one I decided to keep because I love the ruffle on the shoulders and the two black strings which come down from both sides, allowing me to make a cute little bow. It's perfect for work and I could also wear it day to day with a pair of jeans.

Brand: Forever 21
Price: £16.75

This is a lovely colour, it was actually chosen by my boyfriend *surprised* - sometimes it can be a good thing having your boyfriend around when you're shopping but other times they just chose the worst things (which also happened). There is a cute pleated detail from the shoulder to the elbow, which you can't see in this picture but it gives the shirt a really nice touch. I love the buttons on it because it looks like mini studs which is a craze at the moment - I would also like to add that although the buttons are gold they aren't a tacky gold.

Brand: Forever 21
                                                Price: £19.75

This is different from the other two shirts I chose, that's because I wanted something different and I've had this new love for the colour pink. The design on this shirt is very different, it's flowers with the petals being holes in the shirt (obviously I would have to wear a strap top underneath). I like the colour and the design - Perfect!

Brand: Forever 21
Price: £16.75

I have always wanted a pair of wedges and I found the perfect ones for work. Firstly, they are Forever 21 shoes, their heels are SO unbelievably comfortable I don't even have words to explain! These are just plain black wedges which are perfect for work.

Brand: Forever 21
Price: £19.75

This is my new wardrobe for work now as well as day to day (on occasions) - What did you think of the clothes? I would love to know, leave me a comment below!

Shower of Bags

Anyone who knows me, will know that I am bag crazy - to be specific I am clutch bag crazy! Whenever I walk into a store and see a clutch bag, I am instantly hypnotised and need to buy it. OF COURSE at the moment my sister has decided to take ALL my clutch bags to University with her seeing as she needs them ALL for her freshers (if you don't know, this is one or two weeks of endless drinking, clubbing and basically going wild, while getting to know other students). So sadly I am without my clutch bags at the moment *gets teary eyed*.

I wanted to do a blog on bags to show which ones I admire at the moment and secretly wish I could steal (Relax, I wouldn't actually steal them, I'll just wait like normal people to buy them). Now that I am starting work as an intern, I hope it leads to a full time position and loads of bags and clothes for me (Wishful thinking on my part I know, but anything is possible!!)

I have chosen a few Luxury brand bags and some High Street brand bags - So you can choose which ones you can afford and which ones are your absolute fave!

Gucci

Gucci is my FAVOURITE luxury bag brand. The day I purchase a Gucci bag, I know I am at a good point in my life and I have reached my professional goal - I mean Gucci bags I think start from £600 and the ones I want start at £900, so I guess you know what I mean. A girl has to work to get what she wants and that's what I will do! I like Gucci's style, their bags are like eye candy for your arm. You know you will look amazing when you have one of these on your arm and in your wardrobe. I have picked up on their recent designs where their straps are a bamboo stick design, usually it's not something I would like. I personally would think bamboo stick on a bag would be something I would use when going on holiday, maybe to the beach, something which I don't mind getting dirty - BUT the design Gucci have created is unique and very cute, in other words I WANT, I WANT, I WANT!!

Take a look at the bags I would have decorating my wardrobe!

Dolce & Gabbana

I have actually recently started noticing the Dolce & Gabbana bags, I think it's because of their Summer Spring 2013 collection (which I spoke about in my 'Milan Fashion Week' post). I like their use of prints and colours, some of the bags which you will see below, I think give a vintage feel. I like flower prints and I see myself wearing a cute flower print dress holding the 'Dolce bag' shown below. The price is A LOT more than the Gucci range, so I guess the wait for this one will be longer (or maybe never?) - either way if not buy I can always admire!

Dolce Bag

Price: £1,050.00

Dolce Bag

Price: £1525.00

River Island

Out of all the high street brands, my ultimate favourite, for bags has to be River Island! Their bags always look so glamorous and you always feel sophisticated and dressed the part, when having a River Island bag on your arm! They are definitely more affordable and very good quality in my opinion.

BEIGE TAPESTRY CHELSEA GIRL SATCHEL

Price: £28.00

BEIGE MIX FABRIC TOTE BAG

Price: £45.00

BEIGE STUDDED COLOUR BLOCK BOWLER BAG

Price: £40.00

CREAM COLOUR BLOCK BOWLER BAG

Price: £40.00

Accessorize

Okay, so this is where my obsession with clutch bags began. The clutch bags in Accessorize have always sucked me in and persuaded me into spending a lot of money - although I would like to add that Accessorize's prices are pretty reasonable. When I'm out on a night out I like to take BIG clutch bags with me, of course I need the space for my make up (to top up through the night), along with a camera, ID and money. I find it so annoying when I take a small clutch bag which doesn't fit all my stuff and I have to leave things behind - not fun at all! So I have always found the perfect size clutch bags, which complete my outfit for a night out.

Flat Buckle Satchet

Price: £35.00

Stace Suedette Clutch

Price: £16.00

Rectangle Pu Clutch

Price: £35.00

Grab Hand Clutch

Price: £28.00

So these were my favourite bags at the moment which I want to get my hands on - there's the dream list and the wish list - the ones I can get and hopefully soon I will get and the ones I have to still wait quite some time to get! At the moment tote bags seem to be everywhere, I only included one tote in this post I think but I know Fendi have some beautiful totes at the moment so take a look at them if your looking for a tote. Whats your favourite bag brand at the moment? I would love to know! Leave me a comment below letting me know!

Milan Fashion Week

I know I'm writing this a little late but I had to write about a few of my favourite collections from Milan Fashion Week! My personal favourites were #Fendi, #GiorgioArmani and #Dolce&Gabbana. I am seeing the colour mustard used in a lot of collections throughout the Fashion Weeks so I think that maybe a popular colour for the Spring Summer 2013 season.

#FENDI

I think that Fendi had a pattern of using mustard, brown, orange, blue, cream and white illustrated in blocks on the pieces. I feel as if the colours represent a tribal theme (In my opinion of course) - they use the colours really well because its a simple block effect rather than a lot of prints and pattern designs.

What I liked the most about this collection is that it gives a relaxed look - what I mean by this is it gives a sense of individuality (as do most collections for the Fashion Weeks). I LOVE and I mean LOVE the Fendi bags, they were amazing - again going with the block colour design, using the colours in blocks to create a beautiful arm accessory.

Their footwear followed the same theme and wasn't something which I in particular would wear, but I respect their creativity and sense of design - they have incorporated spikes in the heels, which has been a fashion buzz at the moment - spikes are taking over at the moment.

Take a look at my favourites from the collection!

Giorgio Armani

Whenever I think of #Armani, I instantly think of the colour blue. I have always felt that that's the colour which represents the brand - I vision it to represent night life and that's what I saw in the collection. Although there were a use of greens and blacks too, the blue seemed to dominate the collection! I adored the style of jackets the collection had - ones which I would love to get my hands on for sure! The collection was delicate and full of sophistication. The accessories complimented the pieces like a missing piece in a puzzle - the bags were very cute! Armani has definitely given a fine show and revealed a collection which screams GIORGIO ARMANI from every angle! Although, I would like to add that I didn't warm to the hairstyles - not something I would usually go for.

Take a look at my favourite Armani's!

Dolce & Gabbana

The Dolce & Gabbana collection was bright, vibrant and full of colours and patterns. I think the term I would use is retro - I seem to get a retro feel from the collection and just looking at it makes you feel happy and full of life - it's definitely a mood lifting collection. It's also got a holiday theme linked to it as there's the use of yellows, oranges, reds, stripes and prints.

The collection is very CUTE and I really have fallen in love with some of the pieces - it's a collection which makes you smile and could help you bring summer into England (seen as we  always have a disrupted summer!).

Have a look at my absolute faves below!

Outfit wishlist in a coats frenzy!

After seeing the Burberry coat collection and with Winter not far away I have been on a coat frenzy, looking for the perfect one for me!

This is the coat which I have fallen in LOVE with and would really like to see hung up in my wardrobe. It's a Burberry  coat from their SS13 Runway collection and costs £1095.00 (A LITTLE out of my price range!).

I'm sure you will agree, it's a beautiful coat in a lovely colour. This is a 'Full skirt tweed coat'.

So, it has become my mission to find a coat similar to this or at least with a 'full skirt' design - at more of a reasonable price for me (it maybe a reasonable price for you already and if that is the case I highly recommend this #Burberry Coat).

Okay, so below I have found some coats which I took a liking too! I have included some jackets too because I do want to get my hands on a leather jacket soon too!

This is the 'Fur Collar Wax Jacket' from Miss Selfridge.
Price: £60.00

This is very cute because of the fur on the collar I already feel warm looking at it and the length is a nice length to wear with jeans  and a pair of boots.

This is the 'Contrast Princess Coat' from Miss Selfridge
Price: £85.00

I like the vintage look in general so this coat definitely matches my taste. I like the colour of brown with black details because it gives it a look of sophistication and can be worn to work as well as a casual day.

This is a 'Military Fit and Flair Coat' from ASOS.
Price: £90.00

I like this coat because firstly it comes in petite (perfect for a shorty like me) and I like the way it shapes your body. BUT I do have slight reservations about this particular coat - any opinions?

None of the options match up to the Burberry coat 100% but they are still a fave - if you see any coats which are more similar to the Burberry coat and are a high street brand I would really like to know - I would also love to know what kind of coat you will be looking for this Autumn/Winter - Please leave your comments by clicking the comment button below or typing in your message in the white comment box below (it depends on how you are viewing this post).

As my 'Outfit Wishlist' keeps growing i'll keep you posted!

Versace Spring Summer 2013

I just saw the SS13 collection for Versace and fell IN LOVE. I know I've been using that phrase a lot recently but WOW, the collections at the New York, London and now Milan fashion week are just too beautiful not to speak about.

The Versace collection was SO cute - usually I hate Oranges but the way Versace has used it in it's collection is just amazing (now, I think I may have to change my opinion on the colour Orange!). Their use of the pinks, blues, yellows and orange have been SO good. They gave their pink and blue pieces a kind of tye dye effect which surprisingly looks amazing (I say surprisingly only because I am not a tye dye kind of girl) -  Although, I'm not a HUGE fan of the pink pieces they have in their collection. They also use a lot of lace in the collection which is always nice touch. Overall I love the collection and below are my absolute faves which I am running out to get right now - YES, ok in my dreams! But as I always say a girl can dream!!
