I haven't written about my lovely lipsticks for a few days now. I have been SO overwhelmed with the #LondonFashionWeek it's been crazy and I seem to be in awe of the fashion world at the moment.
Anyway, I wanted to share the 5 lipsticks which I can't live without and I am absolutely in love with. I have actually been spending the last few days whimpering over the fact that I can't find my pink #MACcosmetics lipstick (a nightmare I know) - Of course I though my sister had kept it hostage BUT she was actually blaming me for the loss of her #MAC lipstick.
Below are the lipsticks I love MINUS the pink #MAC lipstick *cries to herself*.
1. Yves Saint Laurent - Rouge Volupte - 25
The day #YSL came into my life it was a great day! I have no idea why I never noticed the Rouge Volupte lipstick range by #YSL - I am actually in love! This lipstick is just amazing, it's smooth and complimenting. This particular colour is a natural pinky brown colour, I bought it when I was looking for something I could wear on a daily basis - This is a beautiful colour and although it looks natural it still gives the lips a little colour with a comforting shine. This is definitely a lipstick which you don't need add a lip moisturiser too, I have applied it many times without using #Carmex or #Vaseline and my lips have never got dry.
This lipstick is actually close to my heart and if anything ever happened to it I think I would just cry myself to death (I know a little dramatic - but lipsticks can have this effect on a girl). I would 100% recommend this to all of you - it's an amazing product and will not dissapoint.
2. Yves Saint Laurent - Rouge Volupte - 18
This is the second Rouge Volupte range lipstick I have purchased and again it has not dissapointed! This is a dark raspberry red colour, it's beautiful on the lips and makes me feel amazing every time. Everything I mentioned above applies to this lipstick too but I do have one SMALL negative point about this specific colour - it can be a really messy colour seeing as the last time I wore this lipstick I used my white clutch (wrong move) and got the red on the inside of the clutch, as well as the outside. This colour gets everywhere but I guess that's something you have to prevent yourself, I know that next time I will be extra careful to check that my fingers don't have any of the colour on it and when I place the lipstick in the bag make sure it doesn't re-open.
Overall this is definitely a KEEPER and again I recommend it massively. I hope to get more from this collection because at the moment #YSL is my favorite lipstick brand!
3. MAC Cosmetics - Eden Rouge
As you probably guessed from my dramatic rant above #MAC lipsticks are one of my ultimate favourites - MAC cosmetics as a brand is a favourite of mine - my foundation, blusher and eye liner are all from #MAC, therefore I couldn't miss out on their lipstick range. The lipstick I have lost at the moment is actually the Nicki Minaj lipstick range from #MAC, I will write about that if I ever find it!
This colour is called Eden Rouge, it's a strawberry red colour and looks flawless on your lips. This can be a little messy to apply - well I found it messy but I have to concentrate when applying it making sure my lips are covered correctly. The difference with this red and the #YSL red is that this doesn't have the level of shine which the #YSL gives off, but I like this look sometimes because it's not too shiny or too dry.
This is a lipstick which you don't need to keep applying and you don't have to add a lip moisturiser - it is an option of course. It is a thin lipstick so it fits perfectly into my thin clutches (it can get difficult to fit thick lipstick cases into a clutch bag which is very thin or small).
4. #Maybelline New York - Colour Sensation - 620 Pink Brown
I purchased this lipstick to match the dress I wore to my 21st birthday, I wanted to get a natural colour lipstick with a touch of pink and this was a perfect match - it's a subtle colour so it's perfect for girls who are wearing lipstick for the first time (it's the first one of my lipsticks my sister decided to try when she first discovered lipsticks and now lets just say I can't get her out of my make up bag!) - it's not too dramatic and gives a look of sophistication. It is a chunky case so I didn't take this lipstick with me on the night out, which was a shame - but I always fine you can always fit a small lip gloss in your bag to top up your lips through the night.
This is not a messy lipstick at all you never have any problems with it and it doesn't go everywhere which is ALWAYS a benefit. I think this is the only #Maybelline lipstick I have at the moment, but I will definitely be purchasing more because I have always found that #Maybelline are reasonably priced and their lipsticks are a good quality.
5. #Lancome Paris - 220
Right so I don't know the facts about this lipstick because it's actually a tester which my sister got from her work and I stole it (I am the thief now sadly) - but I didn't have a choice I fell in love with the colour. Again, this is a natural brown colour lipstick and is perfect to use on a daily basis, with this lipstick sometimes you can't even tell your wearing lipstick, it just gives you a nice natural gloss, which is sometimes all you need.
I have actually wanted to buy another #Lancome lipstick but haven't had the opportunity. This has become one of my favourites and I really hope it never runs out (wishful thinking I know).
So they are my top 5 lipsticks, as you may have guessed I'm a fan of reds and natural colours although I have slowly started venturing out into the pinks! One thing I would like to mention about the #YSL lipsticks is that they smell delicious - yes I used the word delicious, this is because they really do, I can't actually explain what they smell like but the smell sweet and GOOD!
I would love to know what your favourite lipsticks are, so please feel free to leave me a comment on the box below with your favourites and if you like or dislike the ones I chose as my faves! Thank you for taking your time out to read this (and my endless ranting) and there will be a lot more blogs coming your way!
