Milan Fashion Week

I know I'm writing this a little late but I had to write about a few of my favourite collections from Milan Fashion Week! My personal favourites were #Fendi, #GiorgioArmani and #Dolce&Gabbana. I am seeing the colour mustard used in a lot of collections throughout the Fashion Weeks so I think that maybe a popular colour for the Spring Summer 2013 season.

#FENDI

I think that Fendi had a pattern of using mustard, brown, orange, blue, cream and white illustrated in blocks on the pieces. I feel as if the colours represent a tribal theme (In my opinion of course) - they use the colours really well because its a simple block effect rather than a lot of prints and pattern designs.

What I liked the most about this collection is that it gives a relaxed look - what I mean by this is it gives a sense of individuality (as do most collections for the Fashion Weeks). I LOVE and I mean LOVE the Fendi bags, they were amazing - again going with the block colour design, using the colours in blocks to create a beautiful arm accessory.

Their footwear followed the same theme and wasn't something which I in particular would wear, but I respect their creativity and sense of design - they have incorporated spikes in the heels, which has been a fashion buzz at the moment - spikes are taking over at the moment.

Take a look at my favourites from the collection!

Giorgio Armani

Whenever I think of #Armani, I instantly think of the colour blue. I have always felt that that's the colour which represents the brand - I vision it to represent night life and that's what I saw in the collection. Although there were a use of greens and blacks too, the blue seemed to dominate the collection! I adored the style of jackets the collection had - ones which I would love to get my hands on for sure! The collection was delicate and full of sophistication. The accessories complimented the pieces like a missing piece in a puzzle - the bags were very cute! Armani has definitely given a fine show and revealed a collection which screams GIORGIO ARMANI from every angle! Although, I would like to add that I didn't warm to the hairstyles - not something I would usually go for.

Dolce & Gabbana

The Dolce & Gabbana collection was bright, vibrant and full of colours and patterns. I think the term I would use is retro - I seem to get a retro feel from the collection and just looking at it makes you feel happy and full of life - it's definitely a mood lifting collection. It's also got a holiday theme linked to it as there's the use of yellows, oranges, reds, stripes and prints.

The collection is very CUTE and I really have fallen in love with some of the pieces - it's a collection which makes you smile and could help you bring summer into England (seen as we  always have a disrupted summer!).

Have a look at my absolute faves below!
